Recent fieldwork by The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has uncovered evidence for the early prehistory of the Forest of Bowland. Nomadic hunter-gatherers and early farmers occupied the Forest in the Stone Age, whilst Bronze Age burial sites and Iron Age settlements have also been newly discovered. Join Rick Peterson, Senior Lecturer in Archaeology, to hear how understanding of Bowland’s past is evolving through UCLan’s research.
Booking essential. Please contact the Forest of Bowland AONB on 01200 448000 or email sandra.silk@lancashire.gov.uk
