Start Again will feature soloists Tyndale Thomas, Sasha Mitchell and Emma Williams. They will sing with an all-star band, a community choir and a children’s choir. You can be part of the community choir.
Adrian Mitchell was a poet who wrote with humour, compassion and righteous anger at the state of the world. This piece tells stories about people and places including Back in the Playground Blues, The Boy who Danced with a Tank and the Woman of Hiroshima. You will also hear songs that bring us together in solidarity, People Walking and the Old President, and point to a positive future.
First performed in 1998 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, More Music is proud to revive this powerful piece. This will be a great evening of songs to affirm your belief in humanity.
