Scorton’sannual Bikes & Barrows festival runs again first weekend in May, Saturday 2nd& Sunday 3rd.
It’s a great dayout for families, children, as well as for walkers, cyclists & runners.
The wholevillage dress up & display a bike or a barrow, some are themed, some arecurrent affairs, some are just plain wacky!
With children’sentertainment incl. bouncy castle, zorbs & much more, live music, food& bar on the village field all weekend the whole village is buzzing.
There is ‘Have aGo’ archery on the church field both days, together with a display of vintagetractors; Spring Fair at the village hall; dog show; emergency servicesvehicles: classic & sports car displays, incl. MG’s & Aston Martins; food& craft fairs; afternoon teas, fun run; A 10k road run; Morris ladies &men; wheel barrow racing, and finally on Monday afternoon, the not to be missedegg throwing competition!
