Plus support David RossSaturday 23 February 2019 Doors£14 on the door | £12 advance | £10 early birdRude 2.0 is the XF-laden quartet of Annie Whitehead (trombone & effects), Chris Dowding (trumpet & electronics), Jennifer Maidman (bass) and Liam Genockey (drums) playing a mixture of free improvisation, combined with reggae, funk and other grooves.Annie is originally from Oldham and has worked with Penguin Café Orchestra, Carla Bley and Robert Wyatt and toured with South African Jazz big band The Brotherhood of Breath.David Ross is a restless and unconventional multi-instrumentalist who brings an intensely musical quality to every instrument he touches. In recent years he has become increasingly absorbed in analogue electronics and has developed The Davestation – an electronic instrument morphed from his earlier invention The Drosillator. Ross remains perhaps the only musician to have composed an album entirely using an analogue synthesizer built into a kettle.
