RSPB Moorland Walk

- February 24th, 2020

May 11, 2019 @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Join us for a walk along one of the Forest of Bowland’s most stunning valleys. Take this opportunity to learn more about the international importance of the area for birds of prey and the rare upland habitat they call home during the spring and summer. Birds to look out for include the ring ouzel, a regular breeder in the valley, our smallest bird of prey the merlin and, if you’re lucky, you may be rewarded with a sighting of England’s rarest bird of prey, and emblem of the AONB, the hen harrier. Bring binoculars (or a telescope) if you have them, plus a packed lunch. Suitable for accompanied children of 10 years and over.

(Please do not pay for parking until car sharing to start of walk has been organised.)

Booking essential. Please contact Marie Stawarski at the RSPB office on phone 01524 581001.

£10, terrain guide 3, 3 miles approx.

Check with organiser for exact event location.
