An acclaimed audio-based art installation exploring an artist’s experience of falling critically ill with a rare brain infection and her journey of rehabilitation with an acquired brain injury.

In 2008, playwright Shannon Yee suffered from a rare brain infection after a bad cold. The infection left her with a brain injury which required life-saving surgery, followed by a lengthy recovery.
Reassembled, Slightly Askew allows audience members to experience the different stages Shannon went through; from descending into a coma, the surgery and during her recovery back into society with a hidden disability.
