The essence of light music comes from the early nineteenth century until the 1960s, when live music could be heard everywhere; in cafes and concert halls, spas and watering places, dance halls and piers.
This concert programme will be another celebration of this historic and well-loved music, often not heard for years, but full of easy-to-listen-to tunes. There will be some rarely heard works by Elgar and Haydn Wood and a surprise item too. Watch out for the instrumental soloists!
