Strong men to do battle at Salt Ayre
Now in its fourth year at Salt Ayre, Northern England’s Strongest Man u105kg continues to grow. This year thirty competitors from across Northern England will line-up compete for the crown left vacant by Graham Hicks from Morecambe who went on to win both England’s and Britain’s Strongest Man u105kg in 2011.
The event will take place on Sunday April 15th 11am until 4pm and see competitors trying to complete six strength challenges including lifting a car, running with and loading four 16 and a half stone sandbags, loading the legendary atlas stones, flipping a giant tyre and trying to break Graham’s World Record in the log lift.
Spectators are welcome. Admission costs £3 adults and £1 children. The event is indoors and there is seating for all and refreshments are available.
So head down to Salt Ayre to cheer on the strongmen and see who will be crowned Northern England’s Strongest Man u105kg 2012.
