Minibeasts and other biodiversity

Quernmore LA2 9EL 10am to 1pm. If people wish to bring a packed lunch and continue to talk over lunch and explore afterwards (and the weather is kind) then we can do that.

A walk around the rich and varied habitats of the open access land at Clougha looking at the wildlife, bugs, bees, beetles, butterflies, spiders, flowers and general ecology, with a lifelong enthusiast and expert. Wear sensible clothing and footwear for spending a few hours out of doors in varied terrain on and off tracks in woodland, wet areas and quarried areas.Bring identification guides and a magnifying specimen jar if you have

one or borrow one of ours if you haven’t. If you have a net, then bring that.

Refreshments available in Brookhouse and Caton or better still bring some with you and we can be flexible about the finishing time and continue to talk over lunch.

Cost £2 – 3km-4km easy but the terrain will be uneven in places and with some boardwalks in the boggy areas.
