Lantern Festival

- October 3rd, 2016

December 11, 2013 @ 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm
West End of Morecambe

Every year, local residents wrap up in their warmest clothes and joining us for a torchlight street procession. The result is magical. Hundreds of people, carrying dozens of unique, hand-made, glowing lanterns, parading proudly around Morecambe’s West End, accompanied by choirs, musicians and street performers. Free.

How do I join in?
There will be two lantern making workshops at the Hothouse in the lead-up to the festival, where you can make your own beautiful lanterns from tissue paper, willow and glue to carry at the main event.
Lantern making workshop on Sunday 8 December from 11am to 3.30pm. Free.

Community Christmas Fair on Sunday 1 December from 10.30am-3.30pm. Free.

All open to all ages.
