A great opportunity to participate in some healthy activities is being provided on Sunday 19th May at Salt Ayre Sports Centre.
From 11am to 3pm, Lancaster City Council’s Active Health team will be locating themselves at the sports centre and offering some great advice on benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle.
There will be exercise equipment available for you to try including a static bike and rowing machine. Qualified staff will be available to help on technique, suitable exercise programmes and provide dietary advice. A free health check from 11am to 1pm will also be available.
A local GP will be present from 12noon to 2pm to help discuss benefits of exercise, diet and physical activity.
The council’s sport and physical activity team will be offering opportunities for young people to improve their cycle skills with free instruction from 11am to 1pm.
The event will also have a local police presence who will be on hand to provide free bike coding between 11 to 1pm.
