The latest body of work to be shown at The Thomas Storey Gallery is ‘A Painted Place’. A series of abstract paintings by Lancaster based artist Graham Lowe.
Graham stated that “all of the work in this show, though abstracted is based upon my observations of northern landscapes, with its field patterns, dry stone walls, way markers, standing stones and coastal areas. My aim is to try to create a poetic balance of colour, form and content, combined with a painterly technique to produce intimate paintings of a meditative nature”.
Graham has exhibited in galleries throughout the North of England and his paintings have been bought by public and private collectors both in this country and abroad.
Graham Lowe is well-known across the district, not only as an exhibiting artist but also for his work as a community artist and as an art tutor in Adult Education.
