In folklore dragonflies have been called Ear Cutter, Devil’s Needle,
Adderbolt and Horse Stinger. Some of the myths about this
intensely beautiful creature show them in a negative light, whilst
others give them supernatural powers and link them to happiness
and good luck.
Learn about dragonflies and damselflies with Nick, the ranger, and
take a walk to the ponds on Beacon Fell where they are found.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
