Sir David Attenborough said recently “For me, wildlife cameramen don’t come much more special than Doug. There’s just no one else who knows these frozen worlds as he does”.
Doug Allan is one of the world’s most respected and experienced wildlife and natural history cameramen. His legendary expertise at both poles have made him a popular and charismatic speaker.

Besides his trademark blue chip wildlife, Doug has also been involved recently in several projects that reflect his deep concerns about climate change and conservation. Over the last year he has been on several expeditions with the US based Living Oceans Foundation. Diving in some of the most remote and least visited places in the world he has been filming scientists charting the decline of our precious coral reefs. He covered LOF’s innovative project that surveys reefs using ultra high resolution space photography to measure the coral cover and its health. In those expeditions Doug has seen for himself the ‘sad terrible beauty of a colourful reef bleached pure white by excessively warm water’.

With over 25 years first hand experience of the Arctic, he has witnessed first hand the effects of the decreasing sea ice on the populations of polar bears and other sea mammals. In February 2015 the poorest winter sea ice levels ever were recorded. This evidence of change in the north reinforces his determination and commitment to raise awareness of this global issue through his filming and speaking engagements.

Join Doug for an unforgettable evening as he takes you up close and personal with the animals that live in the wildest places on earth.
See amazing film footage on the big screen and listen to Doug’s experiences of working with Sir David Attenborough, Gordon Ramsay, Ewan McGregor and others.
Ask Doug questions about his wildlife experiences and chat to him about his extreme adventures.
He’ll also be selling and signing copies of his book Freeze Frame (£25).
