Discover Bowland’s Waders – Online Event

- June 25th, 2020

July 15, 2020 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

The acrobatic flight of the lapwing and bubbling call of the curlew are amongst the iconic sights and sounds of the uplands in spring.

Many of our wader species have undergone severe declines due to habitat loss and poor breeding success but, encouragingly in parts of Bowland, populations have been holding steady thanks to sympathetic land management practices.

Join RSPB Conservation Advisor, Hilary McGuire, for an insight into Bowland’s wading birds and the work being done with farmers and land managers to boost their numbers here in the AONB.

This event will be hosted as a live Zoom session.

Cost: Free – but donations to RSPB (via link on booking) are welcomed

Booking: please book via Eventbrite at
