Organised and run by the Friends of Beacon Fell and the Friends of Bowland, this event is a celebration of locally grown apples (and pears!) – with opportunities to taste and but fruit and related local produce. Experts will be on hand to identify fruit and to give advice on growing apples and pears suited to our part of the North West. Fruit juicing – by prior arrangement. Apple market – bring your surplus fruit and sell it (also subject to prior arrangement). Children can follow an apple trail around the woods. Arts, crafts and local produce stalls. Refreshments will be available to buy. Just turn up. For more information contact Martin Charlesworth on 01772 784692. £1/adult (children free), 4 hours, family-friendly.
