You may be able to identify a robin or blackbird, but what about the other small birds in your garden? To help everyone to improve their bird identification skills, the Friends of Williamson Park are holding a week of information to help people join in with the National Big Garden Birdwatch.
The week starts with a talk by bird enthusiast, Jeff Butcher, on Sunday 24th January at 2.30 pm on your garden birds. There will be a display on birds in the Pavilion Café during the week, and on Sunday 31st January a chance to join in with the bird count in the Park between 9 and 10.30am. For children, the Zookeepers are running a drop in of birdy arts, crafts and making feeders from 11 – 3 pm.
