New Laund Farm

Meet students and staff from the Archaeology unit of the University of Central Lancashire, UCLAN, on the site of their summer excavation. New Laund farm is delightfully situated above Whitewell on a belt of limestone that is riddled with caves. Students will be researching and excavating prehistoric cave and rock shelters and we will chat to them about archaeological techniques and view their finds. We will also walk over some other areas of the farm and have a chat with the farmer about conservation, wildlife and farming.
