Morecambe is coming together on Saturday 4th March to support the Teenage Cancer Trust and The National Foundation for Youth Music. Seaside Specialized runs from 1pm-1am and is open to all ages! The ska-themed concert is a collaboration between Big Ivan Music, Nice n Sleazy events and The Specialized Project who have teamed up for this mini-festival at Morecambe Winter Gardens. The organisers are hoping that this might become an annual event, and are looking to raise as much money as possible for these deserving causes. Phil Loynd, who had the idea for this event, said of the Teenage Cancer Trust, “there is very little funding for it, not many people give to it, people give to young kids and adults so we want to raise the profile to get people to realise that there are teenagers who get this dreadful disease.”
There will be a whole host of acts including – The Beat, Roddy Radiation and the Skabilly Rebels, Big Fat Panda, Natural Rhythm Raw Ska, Root System, Millie Manders and the shutup and The Skapones, Skaciety. Alongside this, music will also be provided by DJ Dave Moran (Revival) and DJ Terry Hendrick, ensuring the tunes never stop!
Adults – £20, Under 16’s: £5, Under 5’s: Free.
